Norbert began his career in aviation as a Jet Engine Mechanic for the U.S. Air Force, where he worked on the F100-PW220 engine which powered the F-16 Fighting Falcon. After completing his time as a serviceman, Norbert joined Eastern Airlines as Lead Mechanic and Work Manager on the JT8D engine. During his tenure at AeroThrust Norbert has formulated the engine master production schedule, established prime productivity standards for the JT8D-200 product line, helped introduce the ISO9000 Quality System standards, and played an instrumental role in the negotiation of the CFMI General Terms Agreement for the CFM56 product line. Norbert also purchased most of the tooling for the CFM56 product line, when AeroThrust began working on that engine in 2004. He also helped coordinate the first CFM56 induction, teardown and assembly here at AeroThrust, and developed On-the-Job training and classroom training for this engine.
